What is included in the tour

  • Accommodation in double standard rooms at each hotel.
  • Daily meals: 05 breakfasts and 05 dinners at the above-mentioned hotels.
  • Pick-up and drop-off at Leh Airport.
  • Airport/hotel transfers, city tours, and all drives as per the itinerary in a non-air-conditioned Scorpio/Xylo (or similar)
  • Special Inner Line Permits, entry fees, and green fees.
  • Driver allowance, toll taxes, and parking charges.

Itinerary
Day 1

Arrival at Leh Airport

On arrival at Leh airport, you will be met by our representative and transfer you to Hotel. Lunch at hotel. Complete day for rest to get acclimatize with the high altitude in Leh (Ladakh) which is 3500 Mtrs above sea level. Overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 2

Leh (Visit Shey + Thikse + Hemis Monasteries)

After early breakfast full day sightseeing of Shey,Thiksey & Hemis. Shey was the summer Palace of Ladakhi Kings and is where you can see the 36Ft. high statue of Buddha made of copper and covered with gold. Thiksey: The twelve storied monastery of Thiksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Finally visit; Hemis: Farthest away from Leh, this is the wealthiest Monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Red Sect - it is here each summer that plays are held and Ladakhis from all parts of the country will visit Hemis. Evening return to Leh. Meals and overnight at Hotel.

 

Day 3

Leh to Nubra Valley Via Khardung La

After breakfast, drive to Nubra Valley (Known as the Valley of Flowers and the warmest region in Ladakh) via Khardungla pass. This road is considered to be the highest motorable road of the world. En route, admire the spectacular views of the never ending snow-capped mountain ranges around Khardungla Pass (18,390 feet) After spending some time at Khardungla, proceed to Nubra. Enroute you can enjoy adventure activities like ATV ride (On direct payment basis).

After Hotel check-in, isit 108 ft high Maitriya Buddha Statue at Diskit monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes where you can enjoy double humped camel ride (on direct payment basis) and have a wonderful view of Nubra Valley. Overnight stay in Nubra.

Day 4

Nubra to Pangong via Shyok

We will start the day following the same route towards Leh till we reach Khalsar. From thev Agyam bridge, we will take the left route which leads us to the villages of Shyok and Durbuk. The road after Shyok is good but very steep. After Durbuk, take left towards Tangtse and follow the traditional route. Drive further to Pangong Lake one of the largest and most beautiful natural brackish lakes in the Himalayas. Situated at 14000 ft, more than half of the lake is within Chinese Territory and only one third part lies in India.

Explore the lake area, might catch some rare wildlife. Spend some time around the lake visit the 03 Idiot shooting point, try local food at any of the small restaurant around the Lake shore., Later free time at Leisure and enjoy the colour changing lake and the sun set on the banks of lake. Stay overnight in Pangong.

Day 5

Pangong Lake to Leh

Early morning enjoys the picturesque view of Sun rise on the lake. After breakfast drive back to Leh, take a short halt at Changla Pass to enjoy a cup of hot steaming tea. Enroute visit Shey Place, the ancient capital of Ladakh and Thiksay Monastery located on top of a hill; the Monastery is an excellent example of Ladakhi architecture. This contains several Stupas, Statues, Thangkas, Wall Paintings and a large pillar depicting Buddha's teachings. Later continue to drive to visit Hemis Monastery, which was built in 1630, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism and It houses some beautiful Wall Paintings, Thangka and several other historic objects. Arrive in Leh. Check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Stay overnight in Leh.

Day 6

Departure to Leh Airport

Early morning transfers to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey ends with Sweet Memories of Ladakh.
